お裾分けの優しさ。多頭飼いならではの「相互グルーミング」に癒やされて
自分一人で整えるのもいいけれど、時にはお互いにペロペロし合う「相互グルーミング」が始まることも。 「そこ、届かないでしょ？やってあげるにゃ」なんて声が聞こえてきそうな、優しい時間。
たまに、途中で急にカプッと甘噛みが始まって、いつの間にかプロレスごっこに発展してしまうのも、ご愛嬌ですよね。🍀 そんな凸凹なやり取りも含めて、猫たちが通わせる心の交流は、見ている飼い主にとって最高の癒やしサプリメントです。✨

When the house suddenly falls quiet, and from somewhere you hear the rhythmic “lick, lick” sound. If you’re a cat owner, you know that sound immediately and think, “Ah, they’re hard at work cleaning themselves right now.”
Grooming for cats is not just about keeping their bodies clean; it’s an important ritual for tuning their minds, too. Today, I’d like to share a story about that adorable “self-polishing” time.
An Intent Profile. Maybe We Should Emulate That Focus?
The moment a cat starts grooming, they are truly “serious.” They pay no attention to what’s happening around them, meticulously and carefully tidying themselves from the tips of their toes to the end of their tails.
Sometimes, they have their leg stuck straight up and high, making me think, “…Do you need to go that far?” for their acrobatic position (lol). But looking at that intent gaze, I somehow feel my own posture straightening and thinking, “I need to focus on this moment right now,” yet simultaneously feeling like my soul is being cleansed. 😊🌸
Sharing Kindness. Being Healed by the “Mutual Grooming” Unique to Multi-Cat Households
While it’s fine for them to tidy themselves up solo, sometimes a “mutual grooming” begins where they lick each other. A gentle time when it feels like I can almost hear a voice saying, “You can’t reach there, can you? I’ll do it for you, nyah.”
Sometimes, a sudden “cap” (gentle bite) starts in the middle, and before I know it, it develops into a pro-wrestling session, which is just part of the charm. 🍀 That convex and concave interaction, including all of it, the emotional exchange that cats communicate, is the ultimate healing supplement for a pet owner. ✨
Touching that Clean Fur. May Tomorrow Be Full of Vigor and Grace Again.
After grooming is finished, the cat is somewhat refreshed, and their fur is shiny and sleek. When I gently touch that fluffy body, I feel like I’m being shared the “good energy” that the cat just tuned.
