猫飼いさんの共通の悩みといえば、そう…「毛玉（ヘアボール）」ですよね。
特に我が家のラグドールは毛がふわふわで長く、マンチカンも毛づくろいが大好き。油断すると、あちこちで あの独特な「ケホケホ」（オェ？😹）という音が…！
今回は、ぷりまろ家で実践している「吐かせないための毛玉対策」をご紹介します。
1. 毎日のブラッシング
一番の対策は、お腹に入る毛を物理的に減らすこと！
ラグドールのような長毛種にはスリッカーブラシ、マンチカンにはラバーブラシを使い分けています。
2. 毛玉ケア用のご飯やオヤツ
食物繊維が豊富に含まれた「毛玉配慮」のカリカリや、ペースト状の毛玉除去剤を取り入れています。
3. こまめな水分補給
水分不足は便秘の原因になり、毛玉も排出されにくくなります。新鮮なお水をいつでも飲めるように工夫しています。
💡 ぷりまろ家の「ヒヤリ体験」
実は以前、マンチカンの子が大きな毛玉を吐けずに、食欲が落ちてしまったことがありました。「ただの毛玉」と軽く考えず、様子がおかしい時はすぐに獣医さんに相談するのが、愛猫を守る一番の近道だと実感しました。

A common concern for all cat owners is… hairballs!
My Ragdoll has very long, fluffy fur, and my Munchkin loves grooming himself. If I’m not careful, I start hearing that “coughing” sound around the house!
Today, I’ll share the preventative measures we take at home to keep hairballs at bay.
1. Daily Brushing
The most effective way is to physically reduce the amount of fur they swallow. I use a slicker brush for my long-haired Ragdoll and a rubber brush for my Munchkin.
2. Hairball Control Food & Treats
We use specialized kibble and pastes enriched with dietary fiber to help hair pass smoothly through their digestive system.
3. Frequent Hydration
Lack of water can cause constipation, making it harder for hairballs to pass. We make sure they always have access to fresh water.
💡 Our Scary Experience
Once, my Munchkin lost his appetite because he couldn’t pass a large hairball. I realized then that we should never take it lightly—always consult a vet if your cat seems off!
